I have a problem with obs-websocket. I installed 4.9.1 compat because I can not find anywhere if you support the latest
obs-websocket 5.0.

The next problem I have is that when I setup obs-websocket I set a password, like it recommended, but the stream-pi server does not save my password. I typed it in and hit connect it and said no password was given. I re-typed it and still got the same thing. I typed it again and then went to the general tab and hit save, then tried connecting again, still said no password was given. I typed it again and hit save and closed out the program and reopened it, the password box was empty. I removed the require password for the obs-websocket and then it worked.

I could never get it to connect to OBS 28 on macOS even with the 4.9.1 compat installed. I had to downgrade to OBS 27 in order to get it to connect.

So a different obs version worked for you?

Yes. I am running the following configuration now:
OBS 27.2.4 (64-bit) on MacOS (https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/releases/tag/27.2.4)
obs-websocket 4.9.1 on MacOS (https://github.com/obsproject/obs-websocket/releases/tag/4.9.1)
Stream-Pi Server 2.0-snapshot (64-bit) on MacOS (https://github.com/stream-pi/server/releases/tag/2.0.0-SNAPSHOT)
Stream-Pi Client 2.0-snapshot (64-bit) on Raspberry Pi 4 (https://github.com/stream-pi/client/releases/tag/2.0.0-SNAPSHOT)

This works perfectly for me.

Sorry for the late reply, we do have plans to bring in OBS websocket 5.0 compatibility to Stream-Pi, however due to personal reasons I have not been able to focus much on the project recently. PRs are always open. If there already exists a Java API that uses obs 5.0 then it will be just a matter of minutes to get it running with Stream-Pi.

The best option right now is to use the latest snapshots and OBS as pointed out by robomon1.

Hello, I have been using StreamPi for a long time, but now I am still waiting to see the OBS web socket situation be resolved.
When do you think this problem will be resolved?

@phdemartin
As far as I know the new web socket has not been fixed, could be wrong on that but if you use the last version of 27 with it, it does work. I am still running that.

I'm on OBS 29 :=(
I hope that this software will not bie, but if it's not updated to the last websocket, it's virtualy already dead

Same but at least it works for what I need and most things I use have the older websocket supported
