While editing the middle of a long note on Android, as soon as I pause and it presumably does a sync, it forcibly scrolls the view to the end, but without moving the text focus cursor. So I can keep typing, but can't see where I was until I do type, (if where I was typing becomes off screen), and it's super distracting. It's very jerky and wrenching. I suspect this started happening when I upgraded my tablet to Android 12 with Samsung UI 4.0. I may have noticed this in other apps, too, but it is super noticeable in Standard Notes. If it is a system-wide issue, I don't know how to tell, or who to report it to, (Google or Samsung?) The on-screen keyboard I mostly use is the Samsung one, if that matters. Does anybody else have this issue on Android 12, with or without Samsung stuff?

Does this happen with just the plain editor, or are you using one of the specialty editors? If you can also include a screen recording that would be helpful and help make the issue more tangible for us, since this doesn't seem to be a widely reproducible issue.

Okay, attached. I happened to already have a screen recording app. It was recording blackness until I disabled Standard Notes screen privacy feature. I also have my screen touches made visible from an Android developer feature enabled.

This also shows another bug, that I sometimes can't scroll to the top, and have to use keyboard arrow keys to get there. I think another issue is open about that already.

Oh, and this is the plain text editor.

Actually, I just tried switching on-screen keyboards, and two other 3rd party ones don't have this issue. When I switch back to the Samsung one, it comes right back. Maybe I need to post this report for their keyboard app?
