Does using the Shift-Enter "ship enterexit" control work?

Since this issue was posted, I have added the ability to shift-enter into and out of cargo ship bodies, instead of just cargo ship engines. This should help reduce confusion.

Looks like I made the change and forgot to release it. The updated enter-ship behavior is in 0.1.16.
