On September 4th, 2024, we'll be turning off support for hosted ephemeral databases in sqlc Cloud. If you use managed databases or query verification with sqlc Cloud, you'll need to update your workflow before then to prevent any issues. The next release of sql includes features to make the switch easy.

Migration
sqlc v1.27.0 will include support for managed databases and query verification against any accessible database server.
See the documentation for a step-by-step guide migration guide. I'll be updating the guide as we get closer to the release date (July 1, 2024) for v1.27.0.

Does this affect me?
Probably not, as there are only a few people using hosted ephemeral databases. This change only impacts users who use sqlc Cloud for managed databases or query verification.
