Any updates for this ? Would really appreciate some response by the Spring team.

It seems not only provider projects but also spring social came to end of life. It should be better mentioned in the main page of the project not is such a blog post only.

Based on this, we decided to fully factor out the spring-social from our project base and implemented using spring-security only.
