cygwin hangs on commands

once I run rest-shell, I enter a command, any command, for example help, and it just hangs there indefinitely. When I finally hit Ctl+C it prints the help menu and then ends. This is the same for all commands. Im running a Windows 7 machine with cygwin latest.

Sure. Let me know what you want me to run. I'm able to compile so I can run tests or you can give me patches to apply and run on. One thing I forgot to mention is its doing this on two different machines. Both with similar configurations, windows 7/ Cygwin latest
