What I do in Scala OSS and Typelevel

• I'm an active maintainer of Cats, Cats Effect, FS2, http4s, and more.
• BDFL of sbt-typelevel. I work hard to keep builds, CI, and websites healthy in Typelevel/http4s orgs.
• Coordinate across repos, upstream good ideas, improve tooling, tackle projects that have org-wide impact.
• Poke my nose where it doesn't belong to lecture advise on binary-compatibility, builds/infrastructure, and Scala.js/Native.
• Help new and returning contributors get involved! If that's you, please reach out :)
• Provide support where I can on Discord. And learn a lot too!

Longer term projects I'm currently focused on

• Mentoring our Typelevel Summer of Code contributors
• Cats Effect I/O Integrated Runtime Concept
• Enhancing and improving support for Scala Native, to bring it on parity with JVM. Multithreading, here we come!

Prior art that I'm proud of

• sbt-typelevel, and migrating a shittone of builds to use it
• Cross-building fs2-io, http4s ember, skunk, and friends for Scala.js
• Cross-building the entire Typelevel stack for Scala Native (blog post)
