I am the maintainer and lead developer of ExternalDNS. It seems like a small project, but it requires time and care. I want to try to use GitHub sponsors to see:

  • finance infrastructure for end to end testing. Sometimes I would love to have a phisical Linux machine to do more testing.
  • give more sense to my work on the project and see if I can eventually make opensource more of a financial contribution to my life. My life recently got a lot more expensive!

This is really not a lot of money and it honestly wouldn't make a huge difference in my life, but it would prove that opensource contributions are a part of my stable income. That's 600$ in a year, which is ~550 euros. Enough to buy a x86 computer to develop the project or pay some infrastructural costs.
