location.hostname override

I have a situation where I need to set the location.hostname. If using ::url() location.hostname will be correct (based on the url) but using ::html() location.hosting is a blank string. Because of this, the data I want to generate a pdf of wont render the third party data because the auth signature fails.

Any feed back appreciated.
