Oxygen x WPML: Every now and then, editing a page will overwrite all translated pages

I'm running a site with Oxygen + WPML. I'm translating pages by copying them, creating translated versions and then linking them using the WPML "Translation of" feature.

Every now and then, if I edit a page in one of the home pages in Oxygen, the text will be overwritten with something else. The English page remains the same, the Spanish page gets reset to a really early version of the page with extended characters replaced by a Unicode code and the Catalan version is overwritten by the English text. It's only the text which gets overwritten, the structure and the images remain unaltered. I now edit the pages with trepidation because once every couple of weeks this happens, but I simply can't think what could be causing this. It only ever happens as I edit a page in the Oxygen editor.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?
