PythonSofa issue

1 - download the binary for linux by .run file
2- add the pythonsofa to cinfig file
3- chage PYTHONPATH and SOFA_ROOT
when importing sofa I get this error
File "../SOFA/v23.06.00/plugins/SofaPython3/lib/python3/site-packages/Sofa/init.py", line 140, in
import Sofa.Helper
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'Sofa.Helper'
Can you help me ?

Hi, it would be of great help to provide more information about your installation :

1. What is your OS ? From the path I'd say ubuntu, but I'm not sure.
2. I didn't understand the second point, what did you do ? What is sofapython and what config file are you talking about ?
3. What did you put in the environment variables PYTHONPATH and SOFA_ROOT exactly ?

I have ububtu 2022.
I Installed the binaries by running .run file from the download section

SOFA_ROOT = /home/usr/SOFA/v23.06.00
PYTHONPATH = /home/usr/SOFA/v23.06.00/plugins/SofaPython3/lib/python3/site-packages

but when i try this in terminal
python3
import Sofa

it gives me this error
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'Sofa.Helper'

I eben tried to update the init.py in Sofapython package and delete the section it requires Helper module then it complains the can not found Component >>> Therfore I think it can not really find the packages even though I updated the pythonpath .

I tried to import Sofapython module from a file in its path directory , even that did not work.

Ok, what version of python do you have installed on your OS ?
