System is unresponsive after period of non-use

After some time of non-use (wasn't able to determine how long), navigating away from and returning to the Data or Calculation pages results in no options being displayed in the reporting period and sector drop downs, and no data being displayed on the page.

It's as if it has timed out, without any indication that it has done so, and you need to sign back in to continue working.
