Navigation with Circuit

Circuit is great and all but there is one thing that makes me not use it, its because it's tied down to a specific navigation is there any way to change that?

We are running into something like this (I think) in one of our projects at the moment.

We desire to be able to present screens within a modal (i.e. not full screen). At first, we thought Circuit Overlays were the solution to this, but considering they are entirely driven from the UI layer (reacting to some state change), it doesn't look like there's any way to be able to present a Circuit screen in an overlay?

Is there any way to customise the presentation style that Navigator uses, perhaps, so that it does not present entirely over full screen?

Or, if there is a way to present Circuit screens as Overlays, could you help us out by detailing how we would do this?

I like the fact that overlays suspend on their result, it would be very useful to have this logic within a Circuit presenter.
