I installed Shashlik on elementary OS Freya with Linux 4.4.6. When Shashlik is running my fan increases speed a bit and my CPU temperature goes to 70C.I can see that some process called emulator-x86 or something (you said it is not a emulator) taking about 25% CPU in system monitor.

My laptop is a HP Pavilion g7 2269-wm with AMD A8-4500m.
