Would a 'verify' command be helpful to anyone? It could be used to ensure all (accessible/readable) files under a directory are in the swift container, with an md5 check option.

I'd like to see this.

The etag of segmented files in swift is not the md5 of the object, but "the MD5 sum of the concatenated string of ETags for each of the segments in the manifest." So, a verify command would need to download any files where the md5 doesn't match and try the downloaded file's md5.
