Official Mastodon Account

As you may know, we have a Twitter account (that is mostly run by me) for making announcements and collecting all the cool rust gamedev stuff there into one feed - and I'd like to experiment with creating a similar "official" account on https://mastodon.gamedev.place Mastodon server. Seems like a bunch of rust gamedev folks&projects post to fediverse now so it should have enough content.

Any thoughts or objections?

I think it's a good idea. The move to Mastodon (more or less partial) is happening 😄

Maybe this could also be a good time to settle on a default #tag for Rust games? Have any possible conventions emerged on Twitter/Mastodon yet?

P.s. it’d be nice to view a combined feed of #rustlang + #gamedev, but at least the official mastodon (iOS) client doesn’t seem to support that.

@erlend-sh, Most of the advanced mastodon clients (and the default web interface) support combined hashtag feeds just fine, but yeah, other popular clients have an issue with that for some reason :(

I've been trying to nudge folks into using #rustgamedev for that
