What do we need to do?

Milestone: Define the process (completed)

We identify the steps required to start a blogging campaign. The type of help we'll for each step.

Result: the first iteration of the process was completed during the Mozilla Global Sprint 2018.

Milestone: Recruit contributors and/or sponsorship (completed)

We begin to advertise and recruit (based on recommendations) additional contributors. We also identify any funding or sponsorship that can help pay for any specialists we may need.

Result: the first round of recruitment was completed during the Mozilla Global Sprint 2018.

Milestone: Recruit users aka the soft launch (completed)

We solicit seed posts for our first campaign, these are users who have previously contributed on other Rust blogging campaigns.

Result: our soft launch campaign was originally #RustAllHands (#6), but the volume of was very small. During the Mozilla Global Sprint 2018 it was decided to launch the #rustreach (#38) as our 2nd attempt to do a soft launch.

Milestone: Finish remaining Sprint tasks

There are 15 outstanding issues from the Mozilla Global Sprint 2018. This includes thorough testing of the curation tool (#12).

Milestone: Run our first campaign

We open blog post pledges to the public. We follow the process and amend it if necessary.

Milestone: Refactor the process

We do a retrospective of the process, what went well, what didn't go well. We improve the process and share our findings with stake holders, contributors and users.
