Reported by angelitoes on 26 Oct 2014 16:59 UTC as Trac ticket #1490118

Since we updated to 1.0.3, trying to paste text in a draft with the contextual right click is not possible as it was before. There is a problem with the browser trying to access the clipboard.

In IE it is possible to allow to access the clipbord (althought you have to allow it with each new draft). In Chrome only a message is shown.

Please, see attached captures bellow.

Keywords: paste clipboard

This is TinyMCE contextmenu feature which has been enabled for couple of reasons. Is there a real problem?

  • It's not possible to paste with right click for Chrome users and IE users have to click in the dialog each time they use the paste function. I think that this is a problem that sould be fixed.
  • Is there any workaround that the users can try to avoid this situation?

I decided to rethink this again and it looks that there are more cons than pros in this contextmenu implementation. So, in 50341ea the contextmenu plugin has been disabled.
