R10 raw image format of IMX296 global shutter camera

I made a program for astrophotography and someone asked me to support the IMX296 global shutter camera. Unfortunately I do not have such a camera and can not analyze the raw frames by myself. I could also not find a documentation of the raw monochrome format in the internet. Maybe you can help me with these questions:

1. My software needs unpacked raw frames. In the particular case of the IMX296 I will configure the raw stream format "R10". Will capture_arrays return the same format?
2. Which shape and dtype has the returned array?
3. When the data is 10 bit, will it be left or right aligned?
