I have encountered the same issue when deploying the A.sol contract in the README

I think this issue has to do with the RPC returning error. I've added a new error message:

❗️ deploy createcontract: QTUM RPC 401 Unauthorized
createcontract: QTUM RPC 401 Unauthorized

If you are getting 401, make sure that your RPC user and password are set correctly, for example:

QTUM_RPC=http://qtum:testpasswd@localhost:3889
