YouTrack

What is YouTrack?

YouTrack is a proprietary, commercial browser-based bug tracker, issue tracking system and project management software, developed by JetBrains.

Why use YouTrack integration?

With YouTrack app, you can:

  • Link Qase test cases to YouTrack issues.
  • Link Qase test runs to YouTrack issues.
  • Create a new issue in YouTrack when you file a defect during a test run in Qase

How to install YouTrack?

  1. Click "Apps" in your Qase workspace
  2. Click YouTrack App, then hit "Install now":

3. Sign in to YouTrack and obtain your "YouTrack URL" and "Authorization token" then click “Install”:

4. The app is now successfully installed:

Usage

  1. To link a YouTrack issue to a Qase test case:\

    • Select a case in the repository and switch to properties in the sidebar:

  • Click "Link YouTrack App issues":

  • Insert YouTrack issue ID into the field and hit "Link":

  • Now the YouTrack issue is linked:

  • To unlink the YouTrack issue, click "x" next to the issue ID:

2. To link a YouTrack issue to a Qase test run:

  • Navigate to the test run you want to link to YouTrack
  • Click on "Select an Integration"

  • In the Integration pop-up, select YouTrack App:

  • Insert YouTrack issue ID into the field and hit "Link":

  • Now the YouTrack issue is linked:

  • To unlink the YouTrack issue from the run, click on the trash bin icon for the particular run and it will be unlinked:

3. To create a YouTrack issue together with a defect in Qase:

  • In the test run, mark your case as failed, blocked, or invalid and proceed with creating a defect:

  • In the defect creation form, click “Choose Integration,” select "YouTrack App" and click "Add defect":

  • Select the YouTrack “Project,” and any other required field, then hit "Create":

  • In the Qase defect you will now have a connected YouTrack issue link:
