Is there anything comparable to SWAPY now? I would really love some kind of graphical user interface that creates the code for me as I'm automating my desktop environment.

One of my students is working on code generation features in py_inspect. I think we can expect it in summer.

py_inspect code will be much more compact than SWAPY because of improvements done a while ago in pywinauto itself. That's why we choose to grow py_inspect.

Few years ago we tried to implement fully automatic script recorder (see pywinauto/pywinauto#701) but it is much more complicated than half-manual code generator in py_inspect.

py_inspect's branch atspi contains requested feature but it requires pywinauto's branch atspi to be installed. So early testing is welcome.
