Installer with user defined installation path

Is it possible to get an installer that allows to define the installation path of the plugin during the installation process? Currently, the installation path is the user's predefined AppData folder, which means that the plugin can only be used by that specific user. We would like to make it available to all users (e.g. by installing it to "C:\Program Files" or "C:\Program Files (x86)").

That's a great suggestion, and I think it shouldn't be a difficult feature to add. I will look into it and let you know the progress on this thread.

Hello, just wanted to follow up on this request, as I have looked into it more. While it is possible to allow a custom installation path, the installation process also involves adding registry entries so that Excel knows to automatically load the add-in at startup. For a global installation, each user's registry profile would need to be modified. Is this something you would want as well, or just to place the macro itself in a common location so that individual users can opt in to loading it?

For starters it would be grate to place the macro and dependencies, like the .dll files, in a common location so other users can opt in. I don't know if the macro still works without changing the registry entries. I already tried to copy paste the folder with the installed files to a new location and manually edit the registry entries after the installation, but that did not work. I don't know if I missed some registry entries... but the macro still looked for the .dll files at the old AppData path.
