reconsider functions

@JedSchmidt has some good points about functions, extending the query language, we need to get the auth story right, before doing it. We also need to make the right optimizations so we dont compromise the hub.

@jed, i really like your thoughts, a yet undocumented feature of pubsub.io is that it supports webhooks instead of callbacks, like you described. You can also control the frequency of the messages using subscription options, to avoid pounding the hooks.
