Is FairPlayCombined free?

The access to the repository is free for everyone to learn how to use the technologies. You must however, follow the rules for the project's license: https://github.com/pticostaricags/FairPlayCombined/blob/main/LICENSE

Can I copy-paste the code?

No, while the platform is Open-Source, the initiative is Intellectual Property.

Can I use this repository for my propietary project?

No, the licensing and the initiative goal is to be fair to everyone, this means, that, if you create a project based on this repository, it must be public and shared with the world.

Is the license always going to be the same?

It may not, I want to eventually dedicate my full-time to this project, meaning I need to make it my main source of income, this may turn into the need of modifying the license or add more licensing models such as dual licensing.

How I can use the product?

Currently, there are two ways, deploy the sample applications as they are? The currently most advanced applications are

  • FairPlayTube
  • FairPlayDating

What if the existent sample applications are not enough?

You can always customize the existent sample applications, additionally you can create a new project under the main solution and reutilize a lot of the already existent framework, like the .NET Aspire Orchestration, the Localization framework, the shared authentication UI and framework, the Source Generators for the Services CRUD code, and anything else that we add to the main project.
