Hi,
I used this software previously, it unlocked my Galaxy S3 fine. Recently that phone broke so I bought another. Now, I can't get the software to work on my newer phone. I installed the apk from your site. When I run it, I get:
"SIM lock: read error" printed in red
and a button with:
"Query SIM lock as seen from system"
If I press the button, the dialer pops up with a number already typed:
*#7465625#
If I hit the green dial button, the dialier disappears. Nothing happens, the SIM is still locked. I reboot and try it without the sim in, then again with it in. No joy.
There is a also a button with the text "Unlock" printed on it, but it is greyed out.
My phone is rooted and the software has the telephone permission enabled; as far as I can see there aren't any other permissions it requires.
I'm running the most recent version (6.0) of Replicant, a binary-compatible derivative of Android with the spying and proprietary code taken out.
I see the minimum SDK version is 15; is there a maximum version and could this be causing a problem?
Cheers
