Naia fr.zip

Hello,
Some time ago now I mentioned on Wesnoth's forums that I would be trying my hand at further polishing Project Ethea's french translations, which I assume were first submitted by newfrenchy83.
Assuming of course that I didn't fumble the upload of my .po file on this issue (or in this case, its zip compressed version), you will find attached my full translation work regarding Naia.

Now to be clear, this is still largely similar to the original entry, most of my work here consisted of solving small grammar issues, streamlining some descriptions to fit with Wesnoth's usual french descriptions (typically, units aren't referred to with a capital letter in those, so "Assault Drone" for example would appear as "drone d'assaut" in the middle of a sentence), and less commonly, I rephrased some sentences to better fit in french, usually because the original translation felt a bit rough due to being very literal.

Feel free to contact me regarding this issue, I will also be going through After the Storm after this.. For the record, I'm belgian and a native french speaker so I don't mind either french or english if you need me.

Merci, à moins de continuer le projet séparément, terminer la traduction n'en vaut plus la peine pour moi.

C'est noté, je vais travailler dessus de mon côté alors. Merci beaucoup pour tes traductions d'ailleurs, même si je les change par ci par là ça reste un énorme travail et une très bonne base pour m'aider.

Side note, this isn't my final entry for Naia yet, I will submit its final version together with After the Storm after I'm done with both of them.

Well, time sure has flown since but here I am, a year later. Truth be told, I overestimated myself regarding AtS, it took me about 7 months to refine Naia and IftU to a level I, and later @Rien9866 deemed acceptable, a level that kept rising with each subsequent draft of the project and play testing (the rest was spent in hiatus, in true Wesnoth fashion).

What I'm submitting here is the fifth and final draft of the project, compiled from the latest version of the campaign available in march 2023, and played on BfW 1.14.17. It's fully functional with the exceptions of the commands that come in to pick up special items, and some of the elements in the AMLA window, the items themselves, their descriptions and the various options you can pick as AMLAs however, are translated.
And as a bonus, if we forget the minor hiccups I mentioned, it's technically over 100% functional because we actually added new elements to the templates for both Naia and IftU, depending on the source of the text, elements that were missing from the available templates on Project Ethea.
New additions include descriptions for the aragwaithi units, sylvan spark, Mal Hekuba and its special abilities, Mother Mudcrawler, the matrix units and their abilities, the Hamadryad unit, and the introduction warning for IftU (the list might not be complete, we forgot to record each instance so this is going from memory).

With all of this said, I am hereby pleased to attach the full translations for Naia, IftU, and their respective updated .POT templates (I also took the liberty of offering these updated templates to @amakri who will be working on the ukrainian translations).

(You'll have to excuse the zip format, I don't actually know if it's possible to send decompressed .po and .pot files directly)

I will also work on After the Storm and hopefully this time it won't take an entire year considering I'm not starting from scratch, but it would be foolish of me to set a deadline after what happened with IftU. Hopefully I'm done before the end of the year but no promises.
