ROGoogleTranslate

Platform Language License Issues

Provides a Helper class to simplify the usage of the Google Translate API via Swift.

Installation

ROGoogleTranslate is available through CocoaPods. To install it, simply add the following line to your Podfile:

pod "ROGoogleTranslate"

How to use

Create an instance of the ROGoolgeTranslate class and store the API key from the Google Translate API. To do a translation call the translate method and pass the ROGoogleTranslateParams (sourceLanguage, targetLanguage, textToTranslate). You will asynchronously retrieve the translated text in the callback object.

var params = ROGoogleTranslateParams(source: "en",
                                     target: "de",
                                     text: "Here you can add your sentence you want to be translated")

let translator = ROGoogleTranslate(with: "API Key here")

translator.translate(params: params) { (result) in
    print("Translation: \(result)")
}

Are you receiveing a '403' error code in the response?

If you get a 403 Response, please check your Google Api Account. Google recently changed the policies of the Translation Api and you have to add a credit card, otherwise you will receive a 403 Error.
