10+ SMA Inverters - Looking for solution to convert IP Modbus to MQTT (ST25000-TL models mostly)

Hi,
I'm looking for a solution to read the publish the live status of multiple SMA inverters to Home Assistant. This could be from within Node-red or a docker also hosted on the same windows machine. HA is running within its own docker too. The SMA software has everything locked on an encrypted comms link so it'll be best doing this through modbus. One device is a wind turbine on a Sunny WebBox which may not be possible but I can use webscraping for that if needed. Many solutions I have seen so far appear to be created for one inverter only. Thank you in advance.

Yeah, that should be possible with yasdi2mqtt.

You’ll have to set up one instance for every adapter you use - however, one adapter can easily carry multiple inverters. Yasdi2mqtt will publish the metrics for each inverter individually via MQTT.

Great, thank you. This looks superb and perfect for what I need. I have managed to get the docker running but I'm struggling with IP devices setup. I have read and re-read the German discussion but I'm not clear what needs to be added in the compose.yaml. I have added several devices to the yasdi.ini though.

There is also a comment to say that this command needs to be entered into a running docker (-p 24273:24273/udp \ =>), where/how can we make it permanent? The Yasdi library seems to suggest this is no longer required.

I'm sure this is a very simple problem and I'd welcome your help.

The syntax of docker-compose is fundamentally different from the Docker CLI; you have to place the networking stuff in the ports section: https://docs.docker.com/compose/networking/

Hi,
I have created a post in 'issues' about a HomeAssistant version I've had more success with but still fail to get a response from the inverters and I believe this won't handle more than one inverter. Your comment above suggests I'd need duplicate folders and run them simultaneously which I have now setup (YasdiFolder01, YasdiFolder02, etc) with identical contents apart from yasdi01.ini which has the inverter IP address different and in 'docker-compose' I have added 01, 02, etc to the MQTT message and reference the yasdi01, 02.ini file accordingly. What else must be done please? When I run them each dockers reports:
