Targeting local div, if grid within grid, produces weird results #105

When I try and target a specific container, and said container is a grid item within another grid item, I get a very strange result.

Have a look at my example. if you click on the green section, you will see that the overlay works properly, this is targeting the entire body. When targeting the #green div, which can be done by clicking the blue button on the right. You will see the result.
