there can be a check on startup - however updating it is dangerous : what if the user has done some modifications to the examples ? |
well, I guess that’s the same in any other similar program - e.g. in Max, if you modify the help patches, you will not expect them to survive an update I guess
so, if the user wants to modify an example, they should copy them
also, that’s a separate issue, butI noticed that the Max et al. examples are there, but they’re not visible…(which makes it a little useless to place them there, IMHO) - would it be possible to see and open them from within the library ? If so I’ll make an issue...

i.e. shouldn't we find a way to have this installed with score in some way
(of course if there was a way to update it, that would be ideal...)
we should also reflect the doc about this (in particular because Examples are now in there)
