OL8: Request Update python3-tracer/tracer-common to 0.7.9 in Oracle Linux AppStream #127
Comments
Thanks for opening this issue. I have opened an internal ticket to look into this. |
Just wanted to check if there were any updates on this. |
Thanks for your patience. The work is complete and we are waiting on testing. |
Unfortunately we are still waiting on testing. There was a miscommunication internally, and the testing didn't happen as scheduled. I have followed up with the developer. |
Thanks for the update @YoderExMachina |
This should be fixed. We're now shipping tracer 1.1-1 rather than 0.7.5. Can you please check? |
Thanks for the update @YoderExMachina . Verified that tracer is now 1.1-1. Thanks for the turnaround and My bad for the delay in reply. |
The tracer version currently used in Appstream seems to be not supported for Oracle Linux and checking for packagemanager history will return empty.
Tracer has added support for Oracle Linux starting from version 0.7.9 - FrostyX/tracer@6b02b27.
RHEL support was already present in 0.7.5 and hence the RHEL 8 AppStream repo points to 0.7.5 but i think Oracle 8/9 Appstream should point to >= 0.7.9.
