The osm element highlight color is quite saturated. This depends on the monitor setting and for sure the color of the rendered map. |
@ChrisJoubert2501 I managed to fix my performance issue by disabling and re-enabling style customization with userChrome.css in However, other users with less powerful machines and no hardware acceleration are still experiencing performance reductions. Also note that screen recordings like this are less impressive because you don't feel the input lag. |

Although iD doesn't have a dark theme, it seems that you can reduce the annoyance of blinding when loading it by setting at least some dark or transparent background for the iframe. iframe_flash.mp4 |
I want to have an issue here for people to report bugs with the dark mode as it affects the user interface.
For this issue, any discussion of toggles, user preferences, or the maps are off-topic.
For example, here's one thing I've spotted and we can discuss - the buttons for third-party sign-ins look a bit off, since they maintain the same light grey background as light mode:
