[BUG] Opensearch dashboards higher version is not compatible with lower version of Opensearch

We have opensearch version 2.15
we are trying to upgrade Open search dashboards from 2.11 to 2.18 to get rid of few functional/performace
issue.
But it seems that OSD 2.18 is not compatible with OS 2.15 version.
Please let us know what will be the impact we we remove the compatibility check
to allow OSD 2.18 with OS 2.15??
