  • Identify MINA internal community experts

Initiative Summary: Integrating Regular User Feedback to Drive Product Decisions

This initiative aims to bridge the gap between internal product knowledge and user experience, ensuring the product evolves based on real-world usability and desirability feedback.

Problem Addressed
As product developers, we often have an in-depth understanding of our product, OpenMina Node, which makes it challenging to identify issues related to usability and desirability from an external user's perspective.

Solution
Create a closed group of passionate users to facilitate regular feedback sessions. Develop a systematic approach to gather, analyze, and iterate on user insights.

How It Works

  1. Channels: Discord, Telegram and MINA project members
  2. Landing Page: A dedicated page to attract and inform potential feedback participants.
  3. User Detail Form: A form to collect necessary user information for follow-up.
  4. Email Communication: Per user custom emails to schedule sessions based on the collected data and target initiative.
  5. Feedback Sessions: Regular Google Meet (or similar) sessions focused on specific themes such as Node usability and Technical Demo desirability.
  6. Knowledge Management System: A system to organize and manage notes and insights on usability and desirability.

Example Use Case: Rust Node Development

  • Documentation Feedback: Understanding if the documentation is comprehensive and meets user needs.
  • Usability Testing: Evaluating the ease of starting a node.
  • Community Insights: Gathering community priorities regarding the Rust node.

Initiative Success Metrics

  • Establish a group of approximately 20 passionate users focused on specific topics (e.g., node operators, zkApp developers, broader community).
  • Generate actionable insights from regular calls tailored to specific user groups.
  • Utilize insights to inform and drive product decisions.
