Why miniconda on linux?

First of all, great job with this!

It kinda IS the automatic1111 of chat LLM:s..

I am a bit lazy about my dotfiles in my home, but today I thought I should clean up a bit and that is when I realized ~/.miniconda exists, there.

When I installed I ran start_linux.sh inside a pyenv (3.11.9) so I don't even know how it managed to do that.
But why is miniconda even a requirement for linux?

In start_linux.sh:

But why?
Why is my peynv not enough for the utility?
Why not just use pip to install directly? (there is a requirement file in the repo)
