is it easy to add a command to start recording a room now?

anyone know the code to add to the Recordurbate.py to be able to send a command, something like instant, which could be issued at command line (i.e. python3 Recordurbate.py instant %room_name%) that tells the program to start recording a stream right now? Sometimes someone will be on and the program won't record them for some time, so would be nice to force a record starting to catch a stream before it ends. Thx
