Chocolate Ganache

Ingredients

  1. 12 oz chocolate, chopped finely or as chips
  2. 2 Tbsp butter
  3. 1/2 cup heavy cream
  4. 1 tbsp vanilla

Instructions

Stove:

  1. Heat the cream, butter and vanilla in a sauce pan until it starts to bubble.
  2. Pour the cream over the chocolate and mix until smooth

Microwave:

  1. Put all the ingredients into a microwave safe bowl
  2. Heat for 30 seconds, and mix
  3. Heat for another 30 seconds, mix vigourously until smooth
  4. If its still not totally melted and mixed, heat in 10 second increments, mixing between.

Use the ganache to make truffles or pour over a cake or other desserts.
