I'd like to communicate with my volunteers, and the volunteers at San Francisco's NodeSchool chapter more regularly over a chat application. Ideally, this will be Slack, since most of us in this area already use it, and we can rely on one another being present (which is a big problem with our Gitters). Before I go creating a new Slack org, I wanted to ask a couple questions:
Does NodeSchool already have a Slack organization? (nodeschool.slack.com is taken)
If we were to create a globally inclusive Slack org, who should own it? (is it appropriate for me to create and administrate it?)

AFAIK there's no centralized Slack org, someone might have taken nodeschool.slack.com? back in the days people would use gitter, but I'm not sure if people are still using it
