Yet I wonder if it can transform in the future into a middle-ware solution between "real" Front-Ends (with much more advanced features like video playback, advanced sorting and filtering etc.) and MiSTer.
In other words, instead of rendering a simplistic web app and needing to "re-invent the wheel", instead use the work done to interface with MiSTer transparently, to use some popular front-end (like LaunchBox or Emulation Station) and control MiSTer.
The web app side of the project doesn't have to die of course, but maybe evolving it to some RESTful-like API or something.
