Brief description of what was accomplished with this project

  • The continuing education of the padawan: Many workflows contain design considerations that are related to scientific knowledge and semi-random decision choices. The intent was to study these choices in the context of afni_proc.py, a tool to process functional imaging data.
  • Increasing interoperability of tools. Many users and packages use ANFI tools through Nipype interfaces. We looked at how to automate some of the AFNI tool maintenance.
  • Discussions around the recipe for Niflows, which is a tool to provide reproducible and well-tested workflows/applications as containerized applications. We plan to use afni_proc.py as an example as we move forward on this.
