Feature request: add news as media news provider

At the home screen on Android, if we swipe to the right. It display Google discover . It will be useful if News will be available as a choice too.

By default the available provider are google discover and Samsung news.

Great idea! You didn't find any doc's on how to build such a provider by any chance? I can't seem to find any information on how to build an alternative and it seems to me that only Google and Samsung have a "provider" for it so I'm wondering if it's a part of android where regular apps can't get into..?

I did a search but couldn't find it. However, I'm not familiar with Android development so maybe I didn't search with the right keywords...
