  • Introduced RFC 0053 for setting up a public preview chain for testing, to ensure a smooth hardfork transition.

    Notes: The preview chain will activate the CKB Edition Meepo (2024) rules from the genesis block. Developers interested in the new features of CKB Edition Meepo (2024) can use this environment for testing.

    This preview chain employs the same POW algorithm as the mainnet, so miners can use it to test and prepare for the upgrade. The preview environment has been set up. Users can join the network by modifying configurations using the chain spec and bootnode from feat: intro preview chain #4635. Alternatively, in the upcoming v0.118 release, users can generate the necessary configurations using the ckb init -c preview command.

    Developers can claim CKBytes for testing at https://preview-faucet.magickbase.com/.
