Introduction

We encourage any project members to use any resources they feel comfortable with in order to complete tasks. If you need some suggestions, we got you covered! Here's a list of some great resources!

Note: Although Unity is our preferred game engine of choice for this project, we felt it important to include resources for other game engines for any future students that might look to expand their toolset.

Unity Tutorials

  1. Game Dev Underground: Learn everything about game design and how to be a successful indie dev.
  2. Brackeys: Probably the best place to start learning how to make Unity games.

Unreal Engine Tutorials

  1. DevSquad: Best place to start learning UE4; Learn UE4 by making games; Lots of game choices to learn.
  2. Mathew Wadstien: Learn about literally everything in UE4; Mainly useful if you want to learn what something is.
  3. Dean Ashford: More UE4 Tutorials; Focuses on niche things like doing magic circles.
  4. UnrealGameDev: Lots of good RPG tutorials.
  5. Tesla Dev: More UE4 game tutorials.
