  • Create new account (or send existing account name)
  • Download GitHub Desktop (or other preferred tool)
  • Confirm access to repos (project ones to be created)
  • Overview of repos (sussol vs openmsupply)

I created a 'recommended downloads' reference here which includes downloading a GitHub client, but then I realised the Trello card already has 'set up computer with Chris' - so I'm not sure if I've duplicated anything 😆 (we can delete it if there's already a list somewhere).

Love the recommended downloads ref! Might just link it on the original Readme bullet point for "Set up computer"

I heard my name 👀 . @katherine-sussol was that based on the Clemens orientation? Funnily enough, I have no recollection of doing that task 😆 .

One trick for github might be to create a team for the interns with sufficient permissions for the appropriate repos. Speaking of which, which org are they going to operate out of (where will the intern project be)? sussol? openmsupply? selwyns-charitable-endeavours?

@Chris-Petty I can't let Kat be blamed for this, I just decided you would do it (I think you've previously helped with hardware setup just by virtue of being there and nice 🤷🏽 )

Great idea about a new team! And yes, I think it will need to be a new repo - unsure if open source or not, @katherine-sussol did Craig mention anything after I left?

🙀 @Chris-Petty Whoah do you have a special 'Chris' GitHub notification filter? Yes, it was based on that card I think! I'm not sure where would be best for that project yet, given its sort of client-specific I was wondering if it might be better for the sussol repo.

Edit: Oh wow and I'm slow! @DhanyaHerath no we didn't discuss open source-ness

I think easy enough to make a private sussol repo for now. We can always transfer to the client's (I'm going to refer to Sel as "the client" from now one 😁 ) org when the time comes. Or make it public whenever.

Craig says "Not open source. Tmf but private please". @katherine-sussol do you want to get it created?

@DhanyaHerath Thanks for checking! I'll get it started and see if I have all the needed permissions
How do we feel about GitHub's suggestion?

(I think I will call it give-better-web)

Hahaha. Idk what they're doing exactly but I presume give-better-web works for a web app. But for server side give-better-backend will get possibly get more flak than mFlow.
