mavid should only allow one instance to be run at a time

Currently, there's probably nothing preventing multiple instances of mavid from running at the same time, unless maybe if ffmpeg's encoders found the devices busy? Only one instance should be allowed to run at once, so probably create a .pid file in /var/run and check for/validate it early in the execution.
