Tab, instead of Popup

I have a slow internet connection (but able to do video chat!)
As I previously mentioned in Google+ I have a problem with this extenssion, when I click to open the popup and see available hangouts, I have to wait for some annoying seconds, without being able to click anywhere (If I do so then the popup will close)
so from the time I am using this cool extenssion, I changed it so that instead of the popup it opens a tab :)
I think It would be better if you redesign the whole project to act like that.

Recently I forked the project and changed it. It would be nice of you if you have a look at it
