Thanks for this how-to.
Followed it and got a working link to an also newly installed OVPN server.
To install the server followed another how-to on installing OVPN server on an host, running Linux Debian.
What needs to be assured on the server side in /etc/openvpn/server.conf to make the server serve a Mikrotik OVPN client:
that below the line with 'cipher AES-256-CBC' is given
auth SHA1 , and not auth SHA256 which RouterOS doe not know, and
that 'explicit-exit-notify' is set to 0, as it is not supported using tcp but only udp.
