Unable to control light color through Home app

Hi! I just installed this plugin on Homebridge - but I am unable to control the light color through the Home app. Switching lights on/off works perfect. Controlling the brightness mostly works, I only see a difference between 0% - 20% but that seems okay. However, switching color doesn't work. Whatever color I choose in the Home app, the light only switches to a light purple. Switching using a scene (made in the Tuya app) does work.

Has anyone had this problem before and how do I solve it? Any advice is appreciated :)

A bit of some additional information - I did some debugging. I am not sure if the problem is within Homekit <-> Homebridge or Homebridge <-> Tuya:

Whenever I change the color in the Home app on my iPhone (by selecting a preset color and pressing change), it updates on my iPhone but it doesn't seem to change the action?

Example:
I change a default warm white color to bright red - when I press the button, the lamp changes to that white color instead of the red I just set. I see the following in the Homebridge log:
Characteristic.ColorTemperature - [SET] 366 2281 - so it appears it is receiving a command to change to white.

I also noticed that in the Home app, the color changes back to white automatically - almost like it realises the color on the app isn't synchronised with the bridge.

Does this have to do with the plugin, or is this a (known) problem with Homebridge?
