Trying to build the EffectsDiscovery C++ sample using VS 2017 Pro and but it fails with the following error message:

error APPX0501: Validation error. Unspecified error 'FxDscvry CPP' violates pattern constraint of '\bms-resource:.{1,256}'

I am new to UWP and might have missed something basic.
